Exotics and Pocket Pets
“Non-traditional” or “exotic” pets are broad categories that includes rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, ferrets, pocket pets (gerbils, hamsters, rats), reptiles, birds, and amphibians! Every individual species in each group requires its own specialized care to ensure that they are happy and healthy!
Most of these animals are prey species in the wild, which means that they are very good at hiding any illness or injury. This makes regular vet visits even more important in them than in our other pets so that we can find any health issues before it’s too late!
Our clinic offers full-service health assessments including nutritional, housing, and care consultations for all types of exotic pets including:
- Guinea Pigs
- Prairie Dogs
- Potbelly pigs
- Sugar Gliders
If you’re thinking of getting one of these special creatures, or if you already have some fun, unique pets we would love to meet you and your furry, scaly, slimy, or feathery friend!
